With the first day of November, the Movember awareness campaign will kick off in full swing, drawing attention to often underestimated men's health, particularly in relation to prostate and testicular cancer prevention.

The public opening ceremony for Movember 2023 will take place on Wednesday, November 1st, starting at 3:30 PM in our shopping gallery.

An attractive themed program will be prepared, moderate by the actor Šimon Bilina.

Movember is a worldwide monthly challenge associated with fundraising. The funds raised in the Czech Republic are used through the Men Against Cancer Foundation to purchase equipment for urooncology departments across the country, health and awareness programs, and research.

In the Czech Republic, prostate cancer is the most common male cancer, affecting approximately one in every nine men (11%). The incidence of the disease is 18.6% higher in the Czech Republic than the EU average. Regarding the highest incidence of testicular cancer, the Czech Republic ranks 7th worldwide, and approximately 500 predominantly young men receive this harsh diagnosis each year.

One of the main themes of this year's campaign will be the upcoming launch of a comprehensive screening program, a demand that Movember organizers have been advocating for a long time
